More than a name.
We believe in virtues. We also believe in having a sense of humor.
What Makes a Stafford Noble?
There is something wonderfully contradictory about the Stafford. Powerful without needing to prove it. Courageous, yet remarkably affectionate. Determined, yet sensitive to the people he loves. Athletic enough to take on almost anything, yet perfectly content curled up beside you when the day is done.
To us, that is where the nobility of the Stafford lies—not in titles or pedigree alone, and certainly not in taking himself too seriously. It is found in courage, loyalty, resilience, affection and an extraordinary enthusiasm for life.
Sound in Mind. Sound in Body.
Our long-term goal is simple: sound Staffords in mind and body, with the temperament, structure, health and character that make this breed extraordinary.
Thoughtful breeding requires understanding the individual dog—not merely titles and pedigrees, but temperament, health, strengths, weaknesses and what that dog might contribute to another generation.
That is why we are in no hurry.
It Started With Rocky
Rocky came home at nine weeks old. Working with him through puppyhood, training, showing and everyday life has helped shape our understanding of the Stafford and the kind of program we hope to build.
A Commitment on Both Ends of the Leash
A responsible breeder has obligations to every dog they bring into the world. So does the owner who takes one home.
Our responsibility is to provide the strongest foundation we reasonably can. The owner’s responsibility is to build upon it.
